CrossRoads Kids!

We believe that children are extremely important to God.  We remember how Christ rebuked the disciples when they tried to keep the children away from Him.  If children are important to God, then children should be important to the church.  For this reason, here at Crossroads, we make every effort to provide many opportunities for your children to learn about Christ while making many friends and having lots of fun.

Sunday Morning

• Sunday School: Children are able to attend a small group Sunday School class where they learn all of the classic Bible stories and they also learn how to apply these lessons to their lives.  These small groups allow for the children to learn using a variety of learning styles and they are able to ask questions and focus on the lesson.  Sunday School classes are divided by age.
• Hound Dog's Church: This is a high-energy fun time with lots of music, games, and activities.  These are followed by a time of praise and worship and then a message from the Word of God.  Your kids will have tons of fun!

Bible Quizzing

• Every Wednesday night at 7pm, the children gather for a time of fun and learning.  And that is exactly what quizzing is: fun and learning.  Our Quiz teachers take the children through different book of the Bible each year and these books are studied in depth.  The children are then able to compete against themselves and others as they answer questions over the book of the Bible for that year.
• This is a denomination-wide ministry.  So during Bible quizzing season, there are local, mission area, and district wide quizzes where the children of many different churches compete against one another.  This makes for some great road trips where the children bond together and have lots of fun together.  The competitions are designed to lift up every child and not bring them down.  At the end of each church year, there is a huge competition with all of our sister churches in South Texas.  There are currently a little more than one hundred churches, though not all participate.  This competition is part of Kidsfest that you can read about below.

Summer Camp

• Each year, all of our sister churches in South Texas gather together for a time of fun.  It is at Trinity Pines Campground in Trinity, Texas and it is beautiful.  We have chapel twice a day with great music and messages.  We have missionaries who are on furlow during this time come and share with the children in small groups about where they are ministering and answer questions about being a missionary.  There is the swimming pool.  The BLOB-you just have to see this!  And then there are all kinds of crazy games that we play together.  This year, Summer Camp is July 5-9.  The early bird cost is $165.00.  If you would like to register your children, click here.

KidsFest

• This is another great time of fun and fellowship with all of our sister churches where we have a Final Bible Quiz.  Children can also compete in talent (singing, instrument, acting, etc.), NazCar Racing (Derby Car Racing), and more.  And we gather for a time of great singing and worship.  This year, KidsFest is going to be Friday and Saturday, April 9th and 10th here in San Antonio.
