It's not all about Sundays!

When most people begin to think that they need to get their life straight and get closer to God, they immediately start thinking about going to church.  Church is a good start.  You don't have to go to church to get to Heaven, but church does help you keep your eyes focused on God so that when that time comes, you are ready.

But did you know that the vast majority of people who start going to church after the age of 12 do not make it a lifetime habit.  Of course the danger of that is that we can fall away from God.  Church on Sundays is not the answer to getting close to God.  It is just part of the answer.

In the Bible, we are taught that the early Christians spent a lot of time together.  They spent time having fun together, studying together, and praying together.  The answer is getting connected with other people.  When people want their muscles to grow, they will get a personal trainer to help motivate them and hold them accountable.  This is what small groups are for.  At small groups you can make friends, have fun, and learn more about the Word of God.  Take a look at some of the ways that you can connect.
