Day 52 - The Net6/12/2019 “In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted, 13 while evildoers and impostors will go from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived. 14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, 15 and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. 16 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:12-17.
There is no one like our God, He is loving, gracious to forgive, and wants nothing but the best for us, we need to know that within the depths for our hearts! How then can we be disciples if we don’t read, study and soak in the word of God? Our spiritual net is the living, breathing word of God, it is POWERFUL. “so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11. We see here that the word will never not achieve its purpose, that’s great news! Never think for a second that you are not making a difference through Christ because believe me you are. Not many people understand the depths of Gods love until they get into the word or are told of His miraculous deeds or experience it themselves. I say this because I was there once, entrapped in my sin I found it hard to believe that Jesus was on my side because how can God love me when I keep going against His will time after time? It was a truly awful feeling, until I was spiritually slapped in the face by scripture! A wake-up call that I needed; a heavy weight lifted off my shoulders, I could breathe! After that moment of realization, I was excited to tell of God’s love, something I never truly felt before. Now a day’s people are so accustomed to giving something out, or following a certain criteria in order to be loved, but that’s not the case with our Father. “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:35-39 Reflect on Gods love for you, in your own thoughts how does that look like or feel like to you? Cast your net, share the word and be confident in it.
