I hope you are enjoying a blessed Advent season. We are now in between sessions even though I know that some of you have planned Christmas parties, which is great. If you haven't planned a Christmas party with your Lifeline, that is something I would like for you to consider. There is no pressure, but if it is something you would enjoy and think your Lifeline would enjoy, go for it.
PROSPECTIVE LIFELINE FACILITATORS
As we get ready to start promoting Lifeline, I would like to find out from you if there is anyone who you think might do well as a Lifeline facilitator. Our goal is to increase the number of Lifelines, but I would rather use people who have already been part of a Lifeline to help keep the continuity. Perhaps you think there is someone who might do well, but not quite yet. That is ok, just let me know. For those you think might be ready right now, I would just approach them and ask them to pray about leading a Lifeline. We will not split yours. We will simply promote a new Lifeline and let people sign up as they wish.
I am going to start promoting the Lifelines in the next couple of weeks. I would like to have a Lifeline Sunday on January 10th and 17th. On these days, I would like for each Lifeline to consider doing something a little out of the ordinary such as all wearing hats, getting shirts made, etc and setting up a place in the foyer to encourage people to join a Lifeline.
I hope that you are able to see how the Lord has used you to minister to many people. This past session of Lifelines, we saw so many new people join. This has given them a family within the church to belong. This one thing alone makes an unbelievable difference in peoples lives that keep them connected to the church and continuing to grow spiritually. Without being part of some kind of small group, nearly 80% of people are no longer really connected to the church after two years.
May the Lord bless you for the work you are doing for Christ!
